Clown Brunch was a collaborative project between multiple clowns in Chicago. This 'dinner' theatre show took place Saturday mornings and featured a group of clowns desperately trying to get a Michelin star. From the get go it is clear this might not happen. All the water is dispensed from giant flower pumps, a human being is turned into a massive eggs benedict, Bloody Mary possesses the server of a bloody mary, and a 13 foot long charcuterie board is a navigated through the crowd. And that's not to mention the mini pancake cooked on an old drug spoon.
By the end of the brunch, the crowd was well fed, well entertained, and (usually) gave 3 Michelin stars by the end of the show.
The show was made in collaboration with local kitchens that had performance space. The show ran in 2023 at Clash on Clark Theater with support from My Buddy's Bar and Grill and in 2024 at Uncommon Ground restaurant.
